Providence Equity buys WTC, Ironman brand owners

Here goes… Ironman is going to be more popular/mainstream/commercial/middleclass.
Providence Equity made maybe a biased choice to purchase the WTC (one boardmembers and several top managers are Ironmen) and this new ownership will definitely influence Ironman into submission towards more general audience.

Bryan Rhodes took Ironman Canada 2008 first place with 8:30:12 and Belinda Granger took first place with 9:17:58. Ironman Canada is a slow bike race and this obviously suits Bryan Rhodes who also does well at Ironman UK.
