Jonathon Blais, ‘The Warrior Poet’, who made the log-roll finish famous and brought attention to the plight of those suffering with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) or Lou Gehrig’s finally succumbed to the disease on Sunday evening.

There seems to be growing dissension amongst the ranks of professional athletes to the ITU’s decision to change the format of the Long Distance World Champs to a double Olympic distance triathlon.
