I would like to congratulate Uwe Widman on his top 10 place, I met online and he is a really cool guy and I am always happy to see him place well. He is one person that should have won an Ironman but never had the luck. I know he has it in him but it just did not happen.
I am however never cool about Chrissie Wellington winning anything. Whenever she wins Brett Sutton is advertised as she did not break up the relationship with him yet. This is not cool. There are still people out there who think an Ironman results are more important than morals and it seems to be Chrissie Wellington is one of them. Too bad such an athletic talent is not matched by a more examplary atttiude, especially in a sport like Ironman which is so inspirational to millions of people worldwide.
There is a big distance between champions like Mohammad Ali and champions like Chrissie Wellington. First is a positive inspiration even decades after, while Chrissie is a negative force in the sport due to her choice of coach.
