Ironman video trailer - what pain are they talking about?
April 28th, 2007 by nikolaI just can not relate to all the cheap guitar solos with the whole talk about pain and soul breaking. I understand it works for some people. Also this is a TV advert (at least the style of it is TV) and TV adverts are always very weird.
But I just do not relate to it.
Ironman is a sport event, show up, do the work and do something else the next day. What is the big deal. Inventing cure for cancer is a big deal. Finishing Ironman, I just do not feel it as a big deal. And I felt no pain while I did it. What pain are they talking about? If you eat well and you are prepared there should not be any pain, it should be cruising?
Anyway…
I just do not feel this… It is very cheesy… I am even emberassed to show it to people that are not into Ironman. With all the respect to all the athletes in the video and all of those that like this, this is how I feel. I do not like the whole build-up through media so the whole thing could be sold in a certain way advertisers sell detergent.
