Superfoods

Found a nice article on AOL called “Eat Yourself Healthy - Super foods can help you live a longer and healthier life”. I was meaning to write a list like this myself but this one is quite satisfactory.
I myself am an extensive consumer of flax seeds, apples and green tea.
What these kind of lists do not say is that there is a huge difference between the nutrition theory and food-shopping practice.
What I mean is that food producers (under the pressure of supermarkets) have an awesome talent in changing healthy foods into something mallicious, or in the best case something not as functional as the original. Of course the packaging still uses the original nutrition qualities to sell the product.
There is a good book about this called “Not on the label” by Felicity Lawrence.
Eating properly is half of the work when it comes to challenges like Ironman. I am not saying it as if its something I learned to say but I really felt the benefits of good nutrition and the downfall of bad nutrition on my body. I have become sensitive to it to the point of paranoia.
Stay healthy and strong! Maybe the force be with you! etc etc
